ATT Uverse
ATT Uverse is at&t's newest video product. This is a FTTN network or fiber to the node. The Uverse packages offer a wide variety of channel packages from $44 for the most basic and $124 for the most comprehensive. The video quality is outstanding. You can also attach your dsl service to these packages for a savings. Every channel on the Uverse system is pure digital quality not to mention the quality of the HD channels. I watched it at a friend’s house and can't wait until it's available for me. The benefits for me is that the service will be cheaper than my current cable bill with more channels, better quality channels and one bill for my phone and TV. The signal rides your existing phone lines into your house and is the converted through set top boxes. There are limitations on the range since it is copper carrying the signal. Currently the distance is around 2500ft from the node where they will install the service. Definitely check the service out. |
